Akros Silicon secures $9 million financing
led by Bay Partners and U.S. Venture Partners
New company’s semiconductors bring intelligence to the network edge

Folsom, CA -- Akros Silicon Inc., a fabless semiconductor company developing highly
integrated devices to enable intelligent appliances on the edge of the network,
announced that it has closed its first round of venture funding totaling $9 million.
The Series A financing, led by Bay Partners and U.S. Venture Partners, will enable the
company to develop, produce, market and sell its first generation of semiconductor
products.

Atul Kapadia, general partner at Bay Partners, and Chris Rust, general partner at U.S.
Venture Partners, will join the Akros Silicon board of directors. Irwin Federman,
general partner at U.S. Venture Partners, will serve as an advisor to the board of
directors. Francois Crepin, Akros Silicon’s CEO, serves as Chairman, and Sajol
Ghoshal, Akros Silicon’s CTO, is a director.
